I had someone ask me if they signed up whether they’d be in the intro class forever. I don’t know who would make you do that, but progression has always been a part of martial arts. Even without belts it is incredibly difficult to not get better at something you do regularly over a long period of time. If we had an “intro” class when I first started Jiu Jitsu, I don’t remember it looking much different from the regular class. It may take a long time to get a belt from me, but I’d rather have you in the normal class as fast as you’re comfortable with it.
