No matter how athletic you are, there are things in grappling you will be bad at. I have seen it time and time again. You will struggle, you will fail, you will not be able to do things. There are basic moves that even 22 years into training I still don’t hit in live rolls. The same is true for many of my friends who have trained a long time. There are just things you’ll never be good at and that’s okay. Hardship is character building, and of the hardships you can face, being bad at Jiu Jitsu moves is very low in terms of severity.
