Broad questions receive broad answers. If you want more clarity, you have to ask specific questions. “What’s an escape for a triangle choke?” Is a question with 6 different answers off the top of my head, and the one I use may not be the one for you. When you ask questions, the more specific you can be about what you want to know, the closer you will get to the answer you want. In anything if you ask someone with a lot of knowledge a general question, you are bound to get a general answer. That’s why when people ask “how do I get out of such and such position?” A lot of black belts say “don’t get there”. That is the easiest defense and also part of the zero sum game philosophy. Once again grappling is not a cookie cutter activity, the more specific you can be to your experience, the better it will be for you.
