I have discussed that progress comes from showing up, but how do you keep showing up when you feel beat down? Moderation, if you feel like you are beat up training once or twice a week, then you are not being efficient. You will have to throttle back the way you train in order to train more, learn more and get better. Even if it is not what you want slow steady progress is better than trying to rush the process and ending up getting hurt. Respect your limitations and enjoy the journey.
