Little Things

​The conundrum of grappling is that the little things matter, but they only matter once you’re ready for them. If you watch Pedro Sauer teach, almost everything he says is so simple and yet it goes over your head. His Jiu Jitsu is not flashy or complicated, but every time he talks I feel like I know absolutely nothing. In order for the little things to make a difference, your understanding of what you’re doing has to be deeper than you would expect. You almost have to titrate the information you disseminate and receive as details are lost until you are primed to accept them.
