Even if you show up all the time, it's not a guarantee that you will be successful or good at grappling. I train incredibly consistently from a jiu jitsu perspective, but I have no hopes of becoming a world champion and never did. Even if you train all the time, take all the steroids, have a great diet and strength and conditioning program, there is no guarantee you will make it to the pinnacle of this activity. Strategy, athleticism, and psychological preparation all go in to being successful. If you quit in the room, that behavior is mirrored on the stage. If you are not conscious of points in the room, it's the same thing. Being consistent in your training is just one piece of being able to compete at an elite level, and the other pieces are equally important.
