Inflict

This is not chess; we don’t take turns. The more I am in control the better it is for me. For Jiu Jitsu to work now that people know what we are doing, it must be active. We must create opportunities rather than wait for them. We can’t be on the bottom of someone getting punched in the face like the early days of vale tudo or the ufc. You need to either get up or get on top. In a sport context, action is still the name if the game if you want to play on the bottom, you can’t get passed and you must constantly attack. To win in grappling and in fighting you must inflict some type of damage or at the very least assert your will upon your opposition.
