No matter who you are training with, practice good habits. Finish your sweeps, manage distance, apply pressure, you don’t have to kill everyone all the time, but you should still be making intelligent decisions. You are not providing your training partner the best opportunity to learn if you are neglecting the shortest path to accomplishing your goal. It is up to them to solve the dilemmas you create, not for you to create unrealistic dilemmas. Do Jiu Jitsu, be efficient, get to positions you like and stay in those positions.
