Don’t be so focused on something that it is detrimental. In Jiu Jitsu and in life. Nothing is so precious that you should hold onto it to the point it causes you harm. This could be waiting to tap on a submission, taking away your own base points trying to maintain upper body control, or it could be sacrificing everything in your life to collect five-dollar medals for little to no money. You can always regain the position, you can always get back the tap, and you can even be good at Jiu Jitsu and do other things, but you have to be willing to let go of things sometimes so that you don’t hinder your progression.
