What intensity would you like to train at? If you’re rolling with a higher belt, that’s usually up to you. If you are calm and trying to do things in a technical manner, that is usually reciprocated. If the person you are training with believes you will do something that could cause yourself or them unnecessary harm, sometimes those rolls become about self preservation. Most of the time, how you go about training is how others will train with you. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
