You can’t expect more than you put in. If you’re not showing up and not trying when you do show up, your coach can’t fix that. A coach can only guide and it’s on you to follow the path. If you hear the same things over and over again and don’t fix them, it’s you. Jiu Jitsu is perfect it’s the people that mess it up. Have realistic expectations, if you don’t show up to training, don’t expect to execute when you need to. If you’re training 3x a week and you want to compete with people training every day, logically you will lose. If you’re like me and compete heavyweight with lightweight height, life is going to be hard. You must do the work to get the results, whatever that may be.
