There is no mercy in this dojo… sort of. If you’re a white belt, you have to be safe, but you don’t have to take it easy on people. You are the bottom of the totem pole, as long as you’re not being a risk to others, get your licks in. It’s not your job to bring up the new people. That being said if you’re doing things that endanger others, may god have mercy on your soul. I build trust before I let people work, you don’t have to trust me, I have to trust you, and I also need you to know that if that trust is broken, bad days come hard and fast. I don’t want that to be the case, but until I have a reliable mat enforcer, I am still judge, jury, and executioner.
